Kanye West apologized for saying slavery was an "option"

Kanye West apologized Wednesday on the Chicago radio station for calling slavery a "choice," and he broke the air above an old friend.

"I don't know if I really apologize for how to make slave comments make people feel, so I want to take this time now to say that I apologize for injuring, I apologize for the effect of one or two Maga (For a great American Again Donald Trump Campaign) comment to me, "West said to 107.5 WGCI radio in his hometown.

"And I apologize to those who were disappointed with that time, and I also appreciate you giving me the opportunity to talk to you about the way I think and what I experience and what causes me to do that," he said.

CBS Chicago noted that, while West said he was sorry about the way his servitude word made people feel, he did not pull it back.

The rebellion against West's comments is fast, the station shows, and the rapper has since acknowledged his mind is "a non-historic opinion."

West also discussed a question that made him mutter with "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" about why he felt Mr Trump was concerned about black people. He then recorded his tweets that were unexpected by the question and did not really appreciate how the presentation was cut awkwardly for a commercial break after a longer break.

He said he only considered the answer:

"I think (the president) cares about the way black people feel it, and he wants black people to like him like they did when he was cold in rap songs and all this," West said to WGCI.

"He will do the things necessary to make it happen because he has an ego like everything else, and he wants to be the biggest president, and he knows that he cannot be the biggest president without the acceptance of the black community," the rapper added. "So it will work, but we need to talk to him."

Last Wednesday, Mr. Trump tweeted a link to Breitbart's story about the interview.

For a field trip to the Los Angeles TMZ office in May, when he wore a red hat "Make America Great Again" favored by Trump supporters and made slavery statements, West said Don C - former collaborator, tour manager and exec record - was used for " get my back "and maybe will close it before everything gets out of control.

"One thing I got from TMZ's comment was that he showed me how many black people love me, and how many black people see me and depend on me, and I appreciate that," West said.
